ABOUT WEDI
Wedi, pronounced “vee-dee,” is a family owned German company. They invented the original “wedi Building Panel”, the first inherently waterproof tile backer board, which we continue to make today, in 1983.

Taking it from there, Wedi has developed their Wedi technology to engineer, design, and make complete shower systems that will help you build and protect your entire custom tiled shower and wet room design from floor to ceiling.

Every Wedi product and complete Wedi shower systems are made with two principles in mind: they use only premium quality raw materials and they build all the needed performances into one product.

Their sustainable installations and buildings are made from plastic as the core material. The product provides insulation, reduces mold and mildew, and has a long lifespan, reducing the need for replacements. Wedi sources over 99% of our raw materials and products from safe and local partners in North America. By 2024, they will manufacture all their wedi products in Batavia and source 100% of materials in North America.
